Cyberpong

Cyberpong VR is a HTC Vive game released on Steam. In single player mode the users break blocks and using power-ups to survive as long as they can in an endless arcade. The multiplayer mode puts users against another player in order to try and bounce the ball past their opponent.

I developed the user onboarding and training modes to teach users about the core systems in the game including power up weapons, UI, and input controls.

Here is a visual of the single player mode from the mixed reality trailer. I integrated HTC Vive touch pad button controls for the power up system including haptics, UI, and SFX.

Here is a visual of the multiplayer mode. I added spectator UI and camera angles to make the game more enjoyable to watch for users that are not in VR. This system was leveraged during live events and for social content when marketing the game





The Rise of Captain Longbeard

The Rise of Captain Longbeard is a HTC Vive game originally released in early access on Steam. It lets the player explore a deserted island solving puzzles, fighting wildlife and battling an epic boss.

This visual depicts the Starting dock area. I developed a dynamic pathing system to traverse the island between waypoints that was visualized as procedural tick marks. My work allowed level artists and designers to tweak the spacing, curvature and start and end points.

This visual depicts an enemy encounter. I developed base puzzle logic for in game events and puzzles. Including goal and reward system, dynamic and procedural objectives and extensability for challenge islands.

Created a unique inventory system that dynamically sorted and presented items within reach when summoned. Allowed for quick access to current set of items and delightful interactions when grabbing items out of the presented "bubbles".
